Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words.
Now, I just have to learn how to deadhead the plant.

Upkeep on a home can be an onerous task. And sometimes I'm just afraid of making things worse. Follow me as I try to fix, maintain and generally not make things worse at home.
Congratulations on successful blooming. I have failed with rhododendrons due to not properly balancing the content of acid in the soil. This beauty is supposed to filter carbon monoxide toxins from the air.

Thanks JFB. I don't know what made this particular plant bloom, it really didn't get a lot of attention from me, until this spring when I played in the soil surrounding it a bit. My neighbor's plant did not bloom much this year. I think that it is sometimes the luck of the draw.
